Esashi Inishie Quiz Rally
Answering the quizzes correctly, you will be eligible to enter into a lottery for exclusive prizes inspired by the Japan heritage in Esashi.
Esashi prospered through the herring fishing and trade.
For seeking the promise of wealth and prosperity, many merchants from Shiga pref. and the Hokuriku region came to Esashi.
The merchant ships frequented its shores, the streets bustled with activity, and banquets lit up Kamome Island. So lively was the town that it inspired the phrase, 'Even Edo(Tokyo) is not as busy as Esashi in May.' Even today, more than 200 years later, echoes of that golden age remain vividly alive today.
The 'Esashi Inishie Quiz Rally' is an event designed to fun and learn Esashi's unique culture, wisdom, and legendary stories rooted in its herring trade legacy, while answering quizzes. Grab the Guide Map and let’s challenge the Esashi Inishie Quiz Rallyt!
