The Umi no Minwa Project is an initiative under The Nippon Foundation’s Umi to Nihon Project. It seeks to preserve the intangible cultural heritage of maritime folktales from across Japan by transforming them into animated works, known as “Umi no Minwa Animations.” These stories are archived to ensure they are handed down to future generations.
